Beatrice Wamuti

As a seasoned healthcare professional, Dr. Wamuti has worked in public, private, faith-based, research, funding, and strategy organizations, analyzing what makes the healthcare system ‘tick’ especially in in low and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Over the past decade, she has worked as a partnerships and impact consultant at Gates Ventures, USA, developing research strategies and disseminating research content on LMICs demonstrating exemplary performance in global health outcomes. She has also worked in HIV prevention, particularly HIV partner services (aPS) to improve case finding, diagnosis, and initiation of antiretroviral therapy among sexual partners to newly diagnosed HIV-positive individuals in sub-Saharan African countries. In this capacity, she was part of Kenya’s Ministry of Health (MOH’s) technical working group on HIV testing services advising on the national rollout of aPS in Kenya. She also serves as a visiting research scientist at the Kenyatta National Teaching and Referral Hospital, Kenya.

Dr. Wamuti is a Takemi postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health. She is a registered medical doctor (University of Nairobi, Kenya) with an MBA (Strathmore University, Kenya), an MPH (University of Washington UW, USA) and a PhD in Global Health – Implementation Science (UW).
