Dr. Iheanacho is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry (Adjunct), Yale University School of Medicine and Chairman of Psychiatry, Trinity Health of New England/Saint Francis Hospital, Hartford, Connecticut. He is the Director of Yale Global Mental Health Program and leads the HAPPINESS project which integrates mental health into primary care and non-psychiatric medical centers in low resource settings. Dr. Iheanacho is a board certified General Adult Psychiatrist and Addiction Psychiatrist whose research includes use of technology to increase access to medications for addiction treatment particularly in underserved populations. He completed medical school in Nigeria, psychiatric training in Dublin, Ireland and New York, United States with Addiction Fellowship training at Yale.
