Kirsten Meisinger, MD is the incoming Medical Staff President for the Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) and current Secretary-Treasurer. Dr. Meisinger is also the Special Projects Coordinator for the Family Medicine Department at Tufts-CHA and Regional Medical Director for the Cambridge and Somerville regions of CHA.

She has worked as a Family Doctor at the Union Square Family Health Center, a CHA practice, since 1999, and has been Medical Director of the site since 2008. Union Square Family Health Center is a QUALIS and PCMHI certified Medical Home that earned NCQA Medical Home level 3 Recognition in October 2010 and again in 2013. In 2012, Union Square was selected a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation LEAP practice: one of the top 30 Ambulatory care sites in the US.

Dr. Meisinger is core faculty at FELUMA in the “Pos-Graduacao Em Gestao de Atencao Primaria Em Saude” a CHA-Unimed Course designing Patient Centered Medical Home Clinics in Brazil. She has done extensive consulting internationally on Patient Centered Medical Home development. She has faculty appointments at Tufts University and Harvard Medical School, and is core faculty at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.

Dr. Meisinger earned a BA from Brown University, her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed a Family Medicine Residency at the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish and French. She can get away with ordering food in German. She likes caring for living creatures in her home life as well, and lives in Arlington with her husband and 3 children, a dog, and a huge garden.
