Youth Summit on Climate, Equity, and Health

07/17/2021 | Harvard Chan C-CHANGE

Each summer, the Center for Climate, Health, and the Global Environment at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (Harvard Chan C-CHANGE) joins forces with Putney Pre-College to bring together passionate high school students from around the world for our Youth Summit on Climate, Equity, and Health.

Located at the Harvard Chan School, we train students to be climate and health leaders in their communities through workshops, field-based activities, and meetings with scientists, health and policy experts, academics, energy innovators and more.

The Youth Summits combine Putney’s extensive history of designing educational and innovative student programs with Harvard Chan C-CHANGE’s leadership putting health and equity at the center of climate actions.

Forming connections with people was amazing. I now have a network with people all over the country and feel less isolated in this movement. I have had a total shift in mindset since this program started!

Financial support is available for students through our partner, Putney Student Travel.

This program was developed thanks to the support of Gina McCarthy, the former National Climate Adviser in the Biden-Harris Administration and former Director of Harvard Chan C-CHANGE.
