Sweta Waghela is the Climate Resilient Clinics Project Coordinator at Harvard Chan C-CHANGE, focusing on the Patient-Centered Climate Resilient Clinics project. She works with frontline health clinics, researchers across Harvard, and collaborating organizations to put patients at the center of climate resilience. The team is working to create a pathway to reach frontline communities in the right way at the right time to prevent foreseeable harms from the climate crisis.
Prior to joining the Harvard Chan C-CHANGE team, Sweta was the Health Equity Fellow at ecoAmerica. In this role, she led institutional efforts and mobilized public support for nationwide climate solutions while conducting research on the health impacts of climate change, with a focus on addressing disparities and protecting vulnerable communities. Sweta’s journey in public health has been shaped by diverse experiences, including an internship at the Uganda Village Project in Uganda, where she collaborated with community health workers to establish sustainable health practices and empowered community members through education and involvement.
Sweta holds a Master of Public Health from George Washington University with a concentration in Global Environmental Health, and a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California Irvine.
