What is your background/experience prior to entering the program?

After initial medical training, I served three military-operational tours and one aircraft carrier deployment as a US Navy Flight Surgeon.

Why/how did you become interested in Occupational Health?

During my time as a Navy Flight Surgeon, I quickly realized the importance and impact of an embedded medical officer within an organization. In addition to performing required yearly flight physicals and OSHA surveillance exams, I was able to advance the health of the workplace population through health promotion programs. All of which was occupational health which I seek to continue.

First-year resident in OEMR.

What are your future career plans/goals?

Civilian, government, or aerospace industry.

What are your current or past Pilot Projects?

Aviation mishap investigations, hearing conservation, health promotions coordination.
