Corey Briggs has more than 40+ years’ experience assisting clients from the private and public sector in resolving their most challenging technical and management problems related to industrial hygiene and employee workplace exposures; occupational health; personal and equipment safety; indoor environmental quality (i.e., mold); and occupational health and safety regulatory compliance. He has led or participated in more than 500 domestic and international regulatory compliance audits and reviews, due diligence assessments, facility inspections and management systems assessments. He has provided consulting services to industries such as aerospace, specialty chemical, oil and gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, utilities, manufacturing, pulp and paper, financial institutions, insurance companies and real estate and property management companies, as well as federal, provincial, state and local agencies. In his 40+ years as a consultant, he has conducted numerous assignments in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, the Caribbean, the Middle East and South America. He is a Fellow of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, an ABIH-certified industrial hygienist (CIH) and a BCS-certified instructional technologist (CIT). He is also an AIHA Fellow and an AIHA Distinguished Lecturer. He earned an MSPH in environmental health science and industrial hygiene from the University of South Carolina, and a BS in zoology from the University of Rhode Island. Lastly, an adjunct professor in the Geosciences Department in the College of the Environment and Life Sciences at URI, Corey presents a 40+ spring semester course to students wishing to enter the environmental sciences and services sectors. He is on the faculty of the OSHA Training Institute and the Laboratory Safety Institute. Lastly, he is a guest lecturer for the Harvard School of Public Health's annual Comprehensive Industrial Hygiene course presented each summer.
