Willow B. Shire

Ms. Willow B. Shire founded Orchard Consulting Group in 1994 and has specialized in leadership development and strategic problem solving. Prior to consulting, she spent 20 years in the computer industry and was featured on the cover of Fortune magazine for her work in business transformation. Ms. Shire was employed by Digital Equipment Corporation in various positions in the marketing and human resources departments. As Vice President and Officer for their Health Industries Business Unit, she managed a $1B global business dealing with pharmaceutical companies, regulators, insurers, and healthcare providers. She has been an Independent Director of The TJX Companies, Inc. since 1995 where she is a member of the Compensation Committee and chairs the Nominating/Corporate Governance Committee. She also served as an Independent Director of Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. from 2007 to 2009 with an emphasis on shareholder relationships and corporate governance. Additionally, she has been involved with director education for several director organization including Board Leaders, Women Corporate Directors and the National Association for Corporate Directors. Ms. Shire volunteers locally in leadership positions with the arts community on Cape Cod and, internationally, with the US Fund for UNICEF. She holds a BS Degree from Boston University's School of Education and a Master's Degree from Harvard School of Education.
