Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to 1) discuss the algorithms (e.g., the types and roles) which are embedded in workplaces (e.g., in systems, equipment and processes; 2) describe the risks related to the health, safety, and well-being of workers from algorithms operating in the work environment; and to 3) explain the various ways that algorithmic risks can be addressed (i.e., mitigated, controlled or eliminated) through various governance mechanisms.
