A Toxicological Study of the Response of Human Bronchial Epithelial Cells Following Exposure to Triphenyl Phosphate

Presenter: Emma G. Goetzinger, BS, MPH,  Candidate for the Master of Science degree, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Trainee, Harvard Chan Education and Research Center

Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to 1) describe the cytotoxic potential of triphenyl phosphate (TPP), 2) discuss the response of the lung epithelium to TPP exposure, 3) explain the mechanism behind any observed toxicity, and 4) communicate the risk to the workforce and general public.

 

Combined Effects of PM2.5, NO2, Temperature, and Humidity on Fetal Growth in Eastern Massachusetts

Presenter: Katie Senechal, BA, Candidate for the Master of Science degree, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Trainee, Harvard Chan Education and Research Center

Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to 1) describe Bayesian Kernel Machine Regression (BKMR) as a tool to measure the impact of concurrent environmental exposures on fetal growth and 2) discuss the relative importance of individual mixture components on fetal growth at different gestational ages.
