Director of China’s National Healthcare Security Administration meets Professors William Hsiao and Winnie Yip

On September 20, 2018, William Hsiao, the K.T. Li Research Professor of Economics and Winnie Yip, professor of the practice of international health policy and economics from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health visited the National Healthcare Security Administration (NHSA) in Beijing and met with the newly appointed director Jinglin Hu.

China’s new state medical insurance administration, NHSA, was officially set up in Beijing in May this year. The administration is responsible for making health care system policy decisions in China, in particular, medical insurance, maternity insurance, and medical assistance. The Administration also oversees the implementation of various policies and guidelines.
