Orlando R. Barone is president of Barone Associates, a Pennsylvania-based management consulting firm. He is an Executive MBA Coach and management instructor at The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and graduate instructor in Business Skills at Temple University’s Fox School of Business; he presents on negotiation and safety at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Lonnie has over 25 years experience as an executive coach, negotiation trainer, safety, cybersecurity and change consultant, educator, author, and presenter specializing in interpersonal effectiveness, negotiation, leadership and management development, organizational transformation, performance management, team building, and training design. His consulting background includes experience in a fortune fifty computer company, where he was in charge of marketing and sales team and leadership development worldwide. He has worked in schools as a principal and teacher. 

The second edition of his best-selling text from Plural Publishing, “Your Voice Is Your Business,” was issued in 2016.  His well-received textbook, “The Solution Cycle: An Effective Framework for Interviewing and Counseling” was published by Jones and Bartlett Publishers in 2016. He is contributing author to the counseling chapter of Neurogenic Communication Disorders (Jones & Bartlett, 2013). Lonnie’s op-ed pieces have appeared regularly in The Philadelphia Inquirer and other periodicals nationwide. 

Lonnie Barone’s training and materials development expertise covers all areas of interpersonal competence and management and leadership development. He has designed, developed, and delivered such training to clients including all branches of the U.S. Department of Defense, colleges and universities, chemical, pharmaceutical, and industrial firms, educational and public sector organizations. He is an accomplished script and song writer whose original productions have been performed at multiple Scranton Fringe Festivals, at the Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, and Patasphere performing arts academy.

Lonnie developed, produced, and is featured in video-assisted training packages in Leadership, Presentation Skills, Performance Management, Teamwork, Communication, Motivation, and Credibility. These packages have been used by such companies as Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Exxon Mobil, The University of Pennsylvania, and the Department of Justice of California. 

His work with interpersonal facilitation, leadership, and large as well as intimate teams (teams of 8-12 members) is unique in the field. He has been personal coach and mentor to dozens of professionals and leaders in all sectors. He has designed and delivered numerous global team enhancement processes, in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and South America. 
Lonnie is a sought-after lecturer who has conducted seminars for executive groups and community leaders throughout the USA and abroad and appeared on radio and TV talk shows. Numerous articles by and about Lonnie have been published in a wide range of periodicals and magazines. 
He has served on the adjunct faculty at Villanova University, and he conducts the Emerging Leaders Program in Negotiation at the Harvard School of Public Health. He is past instructor in Training and Development at the Graduate School of St. Joseph’s University, and has instructed at the university level in sociology, education, communication skills, philosophy, and logic. 
Lonnie received his bachelors degree, magna cum laude, from Villanova University and graduate degrees from the University of Delaware, where he was awarded the prestigious Unidel Fellowship for two consecutive years.
