Dr. Richard D. Fulwiler is President of Transformational Leadership Associates, a consultancy that focuses on organizations achieving functional excellence not just in health & safety but in other critical output areas by applying the principles of transformational leadership. It’s all about getting their head and heart in the game.

Dr. Fulwiler has clearly “walked the talk.”  Prior to forming Transformational Leadership Associates, he had a 28 year career in health and safety at Procter & Gamble starting as an industrial hygienist and progressing to Director of Heath and Safety Worldwide. His responsibilities included occupational medicine, industrial hygiene, safety, OSHA and worker’s compensation. During his tenure, Procter & Gamble has achieved broad recognition for its health and safety excellence as well as for having developed and deployed a comprehensive behavior based management system spanning the entire globe leading to world class results.

He is a visiting Professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, has a faculty appointment at the Harvard School of Public Health, and is Co-Director for their Leadership & Management Course. He has an international reputation and has published widely and is a frequent speaker at conferences. He has been regularly listed as one of the five gurus in EHS Today’s list of the 50 most influential leaders in Environment Health & Safety, listed in ISHN’s 2012 Power 101 leaders shaping the S&H world, and is the 2011 recipient of the AIHA Distinguished Service Award.
