Kristine Kiross

Kristine is a Master of Public Health in Nutrition student at Harvard. She is from Berkeley, California and earned her bachelor’s degree in International Liberal Studies with a concentration in sociology from Waseda University in Tokyo. Her areas of interest include maternal, infant and young child nutrition, food policy, nutritional epidemiology, planetary health, and nutrition education. Kristine is on the research team for the Kids APPS study which examines the effects of a sugar-sweetened beverage tax on targeted marketing and beverage availability for children. Through her research she plans to develop methods to increase access to healthy foods for underserved populations both nationally and internationally.  In her free time, she enjoys singing, dancing, hiking, swimming, and doing yoga.
