Overview

Research scholar and Visiting Scientist at Harvard University, Dr Arnaud is both a Medical Doctor from Kamenge Teaching Hospital ( University of Burundi) and Statistician from Lake Tanganyika University. Dr Arnaud holds a background in bioethics for research and human rights (From UNESCO Chair Bioethics and Department of Education, Haifa University, Israel).
Over the past five years, he collaborated with various National, regional and international organizations like the Burundian Ministry of Health, WHO-Afro , UNICEF, Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (United Kingdom, as Student ambassador),Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation of Washington University (USA, as Global Burden Disease research collaborator),the Federation of African Medical Student Association (Nigeria, as a Stand Committee on Health and Environment country officer) and the International Journal of Medical Student ( USA, as country Ambassador).
On Head of ARNECH Research and Consulting Office, Dr. Arnaud is highly resourceful and goal-driven researcher with key interest in Clinical and DHS data analysis, Data Science for Diseases Modelling, System Thinking and System Dynamics Modelling. He is also interested in designing of effective M&E system and developing tools for routine data collection and data analysis using varied regressions to calculate incremental effect of projects interventions on targeted population in Infectious diseases, NCDs and Maternal Health areas.

Dr Arnaud Iradukunda aims to improve quality of international health research and evaluations through working and providing mentorship to local staff, especially in humanitarian and fragile settings in sub-Sahara Africa.
As Takemi fellow, Dr. Arnaud Iradukunda intends develop modelling skills to examine problems of mobilizing, allocating, and managing scarce resources to improve health. He hopes to build effective strategies for disease control and prevention with a focus on low and middle-income countries.
