The road ahead for maternal and newborn health

Experts in maternal and newborn health gathered for a panel discussion at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health on February 4, 2016. Sponsored by the School’s Department of Global Health and Population, Women and Health Initiative, and Maternal Health Task Force (MHTF), the event touched on reflections from a recent high-level international conference and visions for future work in the field.

Panelists included Ana Langer, professor of the practice of public health and coordinator of the Dean’s Special Initiative on Women and Health, Margaret Kruk, associate professor of global health, Grace Chan, instructor in the Department of Global Health and Population, and Alicia Yamin, lecturer on law and global health. The discussion was moderated by Mary Nell Wegner, executive director of the MHTF.
