Student blog highlights leadership conversation with Harvard President Faust

A blog post by Harvard Chan School students covered a conversation with Harvard President Drew Gilpin Faust.  She came to the School on April 24, 2018 as part of the Voices in Leadership webcast series. Michelle A. Williams, Dean of the Faculty at Harvard Chan School, conducted the interview with Faust. Aleesha Shaik served as student moderator.

The article, published on the Voices in Leadership blog, was written by Dana Sievers, a first year student in the Master of Public Health program in Global Health and Population, and edited by Sohini Mukherjee, a second year student in the Master of Science program in Global Health and Population.

Faust discussed the challenges and opportunities they have seen in higher education, national activism, and global health. “As two of the university’s most prominent female leaders, they also agreed on the power of example and on the importance of inclusive leadership,” Sievers wrote.
