In response to growing undergraduate interest in global health, Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) faculty are teaching more courses for undergraduates, establishing a unique relationship with the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
[[Christopher Duggan]], associate professor in the Department of Nutrition, is teaching a course about nutrition and public health. “We felt there was an unmet need and certainly a high interest among the undergraduate students to learn about the concepts of nutrition and how that relates to global health,” he said in a May 24, 2012 Harvard Crimson article.
[[Barry R. Bloom]], professor of public health, former HSPH dean, and co-instructor of a course on global health threats, said, “With the tremendous interest on the part of undergraduates, particularly in global health, we take that as a mission and obligation.”
