MIPS Seminar: Apoptotic sensitivity across neural cell types: insights into aging and neurodegeneration

April 4th, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Inde Zintis, PhD

Research Fellow, John B. Little Center

Harvard Chan School

Ongoing research has highlighted the heterogeneity of neural cell types and their functions but few analyses have characterized the sensitivity of these cell types to cell death, and by extension, the potential loss of these cells in response to stress in aging and neurodegeneration. Analysis of apoptotic priming provides important insights into the sensitivity and resilience of different cell types, suggesting new avenues of investigation in the study of Alzheimer’s and other diseases.
