John Howard, MD, MPH, JD, Director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) will discuss the algorithms (types and roles) which are embedded in workplaces and will describe the risks related to the health, safety and well-being of workers from algorithms operating in the work environment. He will also explain the various ways that algorithmic risks can be addressed through various governance mechanisms.
