Exploring Equity from a Tribal Perspective

Lunch will be provided to those who can join in person.

Join the HMS Center for Primary Care for a lunch conversation with Damon P. Leader Charge, MA, Sicangu Oglala Lakota, member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, director of tribal outreach for the University of South Dakota’s Office of Academic Affairs, and assistant coordinator of USD’s Sanford School of Medicine’s Diversity and Inclusion Offices.

Students who attend this session will gain knowledge and increase their understanding of:

  1. Oceti Sakowin (Seven Council Fires aka Great Sioux Nation) history and treaties
  2. Tribal public health
  3. Revitalization through culture
  4. Creating networks of understanding

Leader Charge will join us via Zoom. Attendees are welcome to join in person at TMEC 227 (260 Longwood Ave, Boston, MA 02115) or by Zoom. We will provide lunch to those who are able to attend in person.
