June 14th @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

In Person
Class flyer for Camp Data Management and the Level Up Your GIS Skills Three-Part Series hosted at Countway Library

Participants in this collaborative and hands-on three-part course will leave with a stronger understanding of:

  • What is GIS and what can I use it for?
  • How is GIS data structured, when I peer under the hood?
  • What are some good places to start searching for GIS data?
  • How can I leverage data attributes in GIS datasets to power my visualizations?
  • How can I anticipate the challenges I am likely to encounter when I work with GIS data?

Workshop sessions are limited to 12 participants per session, to guarantee hands-on help and troubleshooting.

If you register and don’t think you can make it, please email Ashley Thomas to make your seat available for someone else.

This is a collaborative session with group discussion and interactive components. If you would like a one-on-one session, please email Belle Lipton, or book a GIS consultation with the Harvard Map Collection.
