Understand the use of bronchoscopic segmental allergen challenge as a human model of asthma exacerbation; Identify cellular and molecular pathways in the airway mucosa that distinguish allergic asthma from allergy alone; Identify potential targets to achieve disease remission, including pathways that amplify type 2 airway inflammation and link inflammation to structural remodeling.
