MIPS Seminar: Development of pathway specific reporters for nucleotide excision repair

November 15th, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Virtual In Person

Turner Pecan, Graduate Student

John B Little Center, HSPH

The Nagel Lab is interested in studying the role of DNA repair in both natural physiological processes such as aging and in conditions such as Huntington’s Disease and cancer. Turner’s work has led to the development of reporters capable of measuring DNA repair capacity within the sub-pathways of Nucleotide Excision Repair. This, in turn, offers the promise to more accurately profile deficiencies in repair capacity and potentially tailor treatments and therapies at an individual level.
