Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Inclusive Teaching Workshop

November 16th, 2021 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Join us for a virtual interactive workshop, open to faculty and teaching staff across Harvard University on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) to explore how to cultivate relationships in your classroom online and in-person. SEL provides a framework for developing self-awareness and interpersonal skills and managing emotions to effectively engage with people. Through this framework, you can support students to develop meaningful relationships that contribute to a successful learning experience. We will model teaching strategies that you can apply to both an online and in-person class and you will have the opportunity to connect with others who are committed to teaching and learning from different schools and departments at Harvard. This workshop is hosted by the Department of Teaching & Learning (DTL) in the Division of Continuing Education (DCE) and is part of the Inclusive Teaching Workshop Series. Feel free to invite your colleagues to join and register today to secure your spot!

Facilitator: Zahra Ahmed, Faculty Development Specialist, zahraahmed@g.harvard.edu
