Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health – India Research Center and Project SANCHAR are hosting an upcoming webinar on Childhood Vaccination in India: Successes and Lessons.

The webinar will address the important components that led to the success of childhood vaccination in India over the years. The discussion will cover the current situation of vaccination programs across India, the challenges that continue to persist, the trajectory of campaigns in the past, and best practices for the way forward. Join the Harvard Chan India Research Centre with diverse, experienced panelists as they share their insights about Childhood Vaccination in India.

Panelists include:
– Ms Anuradha Gupta, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance
– Dr P. Ashok Babu, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India
– Ms Rajeshwari Chandrasekar, Chief of Field Office, UNICEF Maharashtra
– Dr Sanjay Kapur, Managing Director, John Snow India
The discussion will be moderated by Prof. K. Viswanath, Lee Kum Kee Professor of Health Communications at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health.

The Harvard Chan India Research Center is the first global Center of the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. Established in 2015, the Center has three strategic goals of research, teaching, and translation of evidence into policies and programs.
Project SANCHAR, or Science and News: Communicating Health And Research, is an initiative of Harvard Chan IRC, aimed at building the capacity of journalists to draw on the latest science and data for shaping public knowledge, attitudes and policy on health.
