ALR 2016: Using Cost-Effectiveness to Prioritize Physical Activity Strategies

Active Living Research logoOn Wednesday, February 3, at the 2016 Active Living Research (ALR) Conference, Dr. Angie Cradock will present CHOICES research on using cost-effectiveness analysis to prioritize policy and programmatic approaches to physical activity promotion and obesity prevention in childhood.

Comparing the cost-effectiveness of various interventions promoting physical activity across multiple settings (school, afterschool, and early care) can provide useful information to decision makers on which strategy would be best to implement.

The three-day conference has two focus areas: research and practice/policy. Integrating two focus areas seeks to “provide opportunities for exchange on how to use evidence to increase physical activity in many settings, identify new policy-relevant research questions, and develop new collaborations across sectors.”

Presentation and additional conference details can be found on the event’s website.
