Access to Universal Health Coverage: Leaders’ Perspectives

April 30th @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

In Person
Awa Marie Coll-Seck, former minister of health of Senegal; Roman Macaya, former executive director of Costa Rican Social Security; and Lia Tadesse, former minister of health of Ethiopia

Join us for a fireside chat on Universal Health Coverage (UHC), where we explore the real-world challenges and successes that leaders face in making healthcare accessible and affordable worldwide. This engaging session, featuring Awa Marie Coll-Seck, Roman Macaya, and Lia Tadesse, offers students the chance to interact directly with these leaders, posing questions and gaining insights into achieving UHC in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This conversational setting, moderated by student Parviz Ahmadov, encourages a personal connection with the topics, inviting participants to reflect on how these issues may shape their future professional lives. The Harvard Chan Black Student Health Organization and Harvard Chan Health Diplomacy Student Association will co-host the event.
