Marcia Castro of Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health has been named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
Castro, Andelot Professor of Demography and chair of the Department of Global Health and Population, was recognized for her research on the geography and demographic distribution of tropical diseases, especially malaria, and the intersections of socioeconomic status, individual behavior, geography, and health.
This year’s AAAS Fellows will be formally announced in the AAAS News & Notes section of the journal Science in January 2022.
