Xinye Qiu, PhD, MS

I am a current postdoctoral research fellow and a former PhD student in the Department of Environmental Health at Harvard Chan School of Public Health. In my doctoral dissertation, I studied the associations between exposure to air pollution, temperature and risk of psychiatric hospital admission/symptoms change in the U.S. Medicare and Normative Aging Study. I earned my Master of Science degree in Environmental Epidemiology at Harvard Chan during when I also worked part-time as a clinical data analyst trainee at Brigham & Women’s hospital.

At Weisskopf Lab, I am primarily working on the Saint Louis Baby Teeth Study and the Israeli study to explore the associations between early-life exposures and neural/mental outcomes. My research interests include exploring the links & interactions between physical/social environment and population mental/behavioral health in the era of rapid environmental and climate change. I enjoy hiking in the national parks, cooking and watching science-fiction movies.
