The attorneys of Mushkatel, Robbins & Becker, PLLC, invite you to share your thoughts and compete for one of our two scholarship awards:
- First place – $1,000 Scholarship
- Second place – $500 Scholarship
Our goal is to foster discussion about the relationship between police agencies and communities while, at the same time, helping young people to pursue a higher education. Please read our rules, learn more about this exciting scholarship opportunity and make sure to submit your essay by our Friday, May 28th, 2021 deadline. Please look at the dates carefully as the scholarship deadline has been extended.
WHAT IS THE TOPIC?
Your essay or video must address this topic:
HOW DO YOU ENTER THE COMPETITION?
To enter our scholarship competition, you must submit:
- An essay of 600 words or less (as a Word document in .doc or .docx format) or
- A video of two minutes or shorter (in a readable format such as .avi or .mp4 format).
Only one essay or video is allowed per student. The essay or video must be original, and you must cite all sources of information. Plagiarism is a serious violation and will result in automatic disqualification.
Additionally, your submission must include:
- A copy of your school transcript or proof of enrollment
- A cover sheet with:
- – Your name, address, and contact phone number
- – The name and address of your school
- – A photograph of yourself (in .jpeg format)
- – A short bio of two-to-three sentences which describes yourself
- – A signature of a parent or guardian (if you are younger than age 17).
