Fermented foods improve gut health

A May 16, 2018 article on the Harvard Health Blog discussed the benefits of eating fermented foods, particularly with regard to the gut microbiome.

David Ludwig, a professor in the Department of Nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, explained that fermented foods, such as yogurt or Korean pickled vegetables called kimchi, deliver healthy probiotics and recommended that consumers choose products that are naturally fermented.
