In this event, attendees will acquire skills for engaging in effective conversations in various settings, including scientific discussions, classroom interactions, and personal conversations at home. The Harvard Longwood Ombuds office will provide practical strategies and insights to navigate challenging dialogues, fostering better communication and resilience. Teaching in the Storm: Academic Freedom, Scientific Integrity, and Best Pedagogic Practices – October 11th, 2023, 5:30-7:30 – Kresge G1

Join us in a panel discussion and open conversation as we discuss best practices in relation to academic freedom, scientific integrity and teaching around topics such as population health, global anti-racism and
LGBTQ+ rights in a context of local, national, and worldwide backlash, including recent controversies at HSPH involving teaching, LGBTQ+ rights, and health. This event is co-hosted by WGH and the Population Health Sciences PhD. RSVP here!

The Role of Misinformation in Blocking Access to Sex- and Gender-Specific Healthcare – September 20th, 2023, 1:00-1:50pm – FXB G10

Join us for our first event of WGH’s Fall event series, “Navigating and Resisting Mis/Disinformation.” This panel discussion will focus on the use of fake science to undermine access to sex- and gender-specific healthcare services such as abortion care and gender-affirming healthcare.
