The SOPHAS application deadline for most programs was December 1. We have addressed some frequently asked questions below:

Does my application need to be verified by December 1?
No. As long as you submit your SOPHAS application by or on December 1, then you will meet our deadline. Application verification may follow.

Do all of my letters of recommendation need to be submitted by December 1?
No. You may submit your SOPHAS application before your recommenders submit their letters. Letters may be submitted after December 1.

What if my official transcripts or WES evaluation are not in SOPHAS by December 1?
If you anticipate that your official transcripts (or WES evaluations for international degrees) will not arrive to SOPHAS by December 1, then we encourage you to visit the documents section within the program materials quadrant of your SOPHAS application to upload unofficial copies in the “other” document type. We are able to begin our review with these documents while we wait for official copies to arrive via SOPHAS.

By what date does my application need to be complete?
Applicants must submit their SOPHAS application by or on December 1 and are strongly encouraged to submit all of their supporting documents (transcripts, test scores if applicable, letters of recommendation) as close to December 1 as possible.

Do you have additional questions?
We will be available to answer questions about the Master of Public Health, Master of Science, Master in Health Care Management, Doctor of Public Health, and the SOPHAS application via Zoom during our Admissions Office Hours (below) during which a waiting room will be enabled to allow for one-on-one conversations. PhD inquiries should be sent to the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
