MPH students showcase summer practicum projects

November 9, 2017 — Students in Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health’s inaugural MPH-65 program gathered for a poster night on November 7 to share summer practicum research findings with their peers. More than 30 electronic posters from across four fields of study—Environmental Health, Global Health and Population, Health Policy and Management, and Social and Behavioral Sciences—were displayed in Kresge cafeteria.

Five students received prizes at the event:

  • Kayla Rosenberg, “Addressing Menstrual Hygiene Needs in Niamey, Niger” (first prize)
  • Corrina Wainwright, “Structural Violence and Health Inequity” (second prize)
  • Kofoworola Onagbola, “Semi-Qualitative Risk Ranking of Chemicals Used in Boston Children’s Hospital” (third prize)
  • Yu-Tien Hsu, “Addressing Social Determinants of Health by Food Security,” and David Opp, “Enabling Medicaid ACOs to Address Health-Related Social Needs” (audience-favorite prize, shared)

Judges included Bryn Austin, Bill Bean, Michael McCormack, John McDonough, Murray Mittleman, and Louise Weed.
