A new data-driven tool will help state and county decision makers in the U.S. plan for the distribution of coronavirus vaccines to priority populations.
The Vaccine Allocation Planner for COVID-19 was developed by Ariadne Labs—a joint center for health systems innovation of Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health—and the Surgo Foundation, a nonprofit focused on solving health and social problems.
The tool provides region-specific data on available vaccine doses, size estimates of high-priority populations, and other factors such as community vulnerability to the coronavirus.
