The Environmental Statistics and Bioinformatics Core (ESBC) provides biostatistical, statistical genetics and genomics, and bioinformatics support for Center investigators. Assistance is also available in several other specialized areas including environmental epidemiology, spatial statistics, and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). In addition to design and analysis support, ESBC faculty and staff advise investigators on data management issues, large-scale research computing infrastructure, and provide statistical training for graduate students and fellows working on Center-related projects. Educational activities such as seminars and workshops on new statistical methods are offered throughout the year.
ESBC funding also provides support to Center investigators to access consults and services from the Harvard Chan Bioinformatics Core and to access to high-performance computing in the Harvard Center for Research Computing at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FASRC),
