Research-in-Progress Seminar: Melissa Wan and Saad Salman

Dr. Melissa Wan will present “A State-of-the-Art Review of Lifestyle Medicine and Occupational Medicine.” She will discuss the fields of lifestyle medicine and occupational medicine, explain how each field can improve health outcomes, and discuss the limitations of current lifestyle interventions within workplace settings. Dr. Saad Salman will present “Assessing the Healthcare Needs of Manual Laborers in Islamabad, Pakistan.” He will discuss the prevalence of chronic preventable disease among laborers, financial insecurity, occupational hazards and mitigation strategies.
