Emelia Suljić

Emelia Suljić is a Climate Resilience Specialist at ICF where she assists federal and international agencies in their efforts to improve systems to protect human health from climate hazards. She is passionate about climate change as it relates to global health equity and has worked on a wide range of related international projects. This experience includes her extended field work in the Marshall Islands to decipher the lasting impacts of nuclear weapons testing, and her work developing pediatric lead surveillance programs for the governments of Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, and Colombia.

Emelia received her MPH in Environmental Health Sciences and Molecular Epidemiology from Columbia University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University with a double major in Neuroscience and Ecology, Evolution, & Environmental Biology. She conducted her graduate Practicum at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services within the Office of Climate Change and Health Equity, where she led a gap analysis of the Nation’s localized V&As.
