Kiana is a second-year Master of Public Health (MPH) student and Health Equity scholar at Brown University, concentrating in Epidemiology and Health Services. Before coming to Brown, she earned her B.A. in Public Health from the University of California, Merced, where she observed significant health disparities and inequities in California’s vulnerable Central Valley.
Kiana’s goal is to apply her knowledge in public health to develop equitable, efficient, and effective solutions for addressing healthcare barriers among all populations. In her free time, she enjoys staying active (paddle-boarding and playing sports), cooking, and learning more about health policy and environmental health.
