BOSTON – The Superfund Community Engagement Core participated in the annual New England Franklin Park Zoo Howl for Halloween this year. Our booth provided handouts designed by members of our team adapted from Boston’s Annual Water Quality Report. Kids engaged in a modified version of the “Ap’peeling Purifier” experiment, learning about how plants absorb metals, while receiving treats.
