Suggestions for next year
•I think that last year was a great success and I am looking forward for the next year.
•more events in and out of the school
•More social events
•Social events, and events that family members can join in on. Organizing seminars and helpful workshops aimed at career development.
•Life after postdoc – what are the opportunities? Maybe invite former HSPH postdocs now working in different areas to give short talks. What they wish they had done differently as postdocs, lesson learned, career possibilities etc.
•I think the PDA is awesome! Focus: social events, workshops and networking with possible employers (academe and industry), discounts
•Education. More social events and career planning seminars.
•I have been here for just 3 months, i do not understand very well how things work. But in my opinion, it’s a very good initiative to have a postdoctoral organization which can defend the postdoc problems and help in their enterprise research. Organizing meetings, workshops and other job opportunities would not so bad us.
•We love you:) more travel award!
•Health insurance for those who do not have it.
•Thank you for all of your hard work to improve & enrich our postdoc experience! Great job! Please consider any/all of these areas to focus on next year: 1) Improved benefits for post-docs, esp. retirement benefits 2) More affordable health insurance coverage for our international post-doc colleagues 3) Career advancement workshops on boosting productivity, publishing, grant-writing, job search (panels of a mix of junior and senior faculty are useful) 4) Increased institutional support and resources for grant-writing & applying for grants, esp. career development awards 5) Assessing postdoc needs routinely with a survey & disseminating results 6) Fun social activities & outings (bbq earlier this year was great!) Thanks for seeking our feedback!
•more travel grants; more social activities
If you have other suggestions please let us know!
