The Runze Huang Community Award honors the legacy of Runze Huang, who was a postdoc at the Harvard Chan School, through celebrating Postdocs and Research Associates of the Harvard Chan School who contribute in an extraordinary way towards building a welcome, inclusive, and supportive environment within Harvard Chan School and beyond.
Dr. Runze Huang joined the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health as a postdoc in the Department of Environmental Health in 2018. Beyond his many contributions to science, he was a kind and outgoing member of the Postdoctoral Association (PDA) and the Harvard Chan School community who was known for his bright personality, organizing game nights and dinners with his colleagues, and his ability to help friends and colleagues feel supported even in difficult times. His passing was a loss to the entire Harvard community. This award is intended to honor his legacy through celebrating members of the Harvard Chan School PDA who contribute in an extraordinary way towards building a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment within Harvard Chan School and beyond.
