Aliaa is a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) student at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is the Deputy CEO of GNP Hospitals Group based in Saudi Arabia. During her tenure, she transformed the hospitals group from a tertiary care provider to an integrated care operator by securing the first of its kind Healthcare Operator License in the Kingdom. During the pandemic, Aliaa fronted various public health initiatives in collaboration with the Government and the group successfully operated the largest number of critical care beds as part of the PPP program within the Kingdom. In addition to her role as Deputy CEO of the hospitals group, she is also the Executive Director of the flagship hospital in Jeddah.

Aliaa’s experience extends to specialized diagnostics as she is also tasked with integrating the diagnostic network of one of the largest private stand-alone labs in the Middle East (AlBorg Diagnostics) with the hospital vertical. Additionally, Aliaa assists in the formulation of their delivery model with the specific goal of promoting equity and accessibility. Prior to her current role, Aliaa was a Healthcare Senior Consultant at EY-Parthenon based in Dubai. During that time, she has worked on various projects across the MENA region and was mainly focused on development and transformation of healthcare systems within the Gulf region.

Originally from Cairo, Egypt, Aliaa holds a BS in Actuarial Science. As a trained healthcare actuary, Aliaa has held various roles in different health insurance companies in the region and has extensive knowledge in health plans creation and insurance pricing models. Shortly after, Aliaa earned her MPH in Health Care Management from Yale University that shaped her healthcare leadership values. Aliaa is devoted to leveraging her diversified healthcare background to increasing healthcare access and promoting health equity to the most marginalized. Aliaa was the recipient of the Okvuran International Scholarship at the Yale School of Public Health based on academic ability, personal accomplishment, and strong commitment for making long-term professional contribution.
