“I was part of the first cohort of students to enroll in the Masters of Science degree program at the Harvard Cyprus Program for the Environment and Public Health in 2007. The program led me to pursue my Doctorate studies with Professor Petros Koutrakis at Harvard. Through my own experience as a student, and my continued involvement in the teaching program after completing my degree, I witnessed first hand the program’s impact on developing and training the brightest students from the region to become world-class researchers and environmental health professionals. As a result, I am now an Associate Professor in the Division of Environmental Health and the Spatial Sciences Institute at the University of Southern California with an established research career in understanding air pollution exposures and their effects on the health of vulnerable populations.”
