Yuxiang Chen was a research assistant in the Department of Epidemiology at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. With 4 years of individual software developing experience and solid programming, and analytics skills, he combined his skill in computer science and statistical modeling and data analysis to help the research team manage the results and data, develop methods and tools required to perform rigorous analyses, including methods to correct for multiple testing in genome-wide association studies, methods for polygenic risk prediction, and methods/tools to efficiently compute large scale association analysis in Linux based computing cluster environment. His research direction primarily included epigenome-wide association studies for IgAN disease, genome-wide association studies for kidney disease and kidney function traits using population data.
