Orientation for new research fellows and associates at HSPH

Monday, September 20 between 12:30 and 1:30pm – Register here
5 min-presentations of the Postdoctoral Association, the Office of Faculty Affairs, the Harvard International office, the Benefits office, the Ombuds office, the Work/Life Office – followed by a Q&A

Throughout the week – Science & Art Competition

From Monday, Sept. 20 to Thursday, Sept. 23
Start digging up your best graphical abstract, lab image or creation. We will host a virtual Science & Art Competition throughout the week on padlet
You can start submitting your art now- check out the instructions on padlet.
Throughout the week, vote for your favorite ones, and post comments under the most intriguing ones. 💰💸 Three $50-Amazon cards to win! 🤑💲
 

How to be successful as a Postdoc/RA

Tuesday, September 21 between 2 and 3pm – Register here
JP Onnela, faculty member at HSPH, will provide many pieces of advice to postdocs and RAs so they can make the most of their time at HSPH while becoming more and more independent scientists
 

Outdoors Ice Cream 🍦 Social Event

Wednesday, September 22 between 4 and 6pm – no registration
Join us whenever you can and how long you want to enjoy an ice cream (Cool Cow truck) with other postdocs/RAs, outdoors between HSPH and the Harvard Dental School – the first 100 ice creams are free for postdoctoral research fellows and research associates! First come first served 😉

Featuring Dean Jennifer Ivers and Dr. Willy Lensch (keynote speaker who will provide tips and pieces of advice about how to make the most of mentor/mentee relationships and how to thrive in academia)
