All professional degree programs at the Harvard Chan School require students to complete a field practice experience. While the MPH and DrPH programs have different criteria for meeting the field practice requirement, the common thread is the emphasis on experiential learning, individualized as well as team-based goal-setting, and leadership development. The culminating experience requirement encourages students to reflect on their professional development and mastery of core competencies through the integration of field practice, formal coursework, and other learning opportunities throughout their program.
