Tejas Athni is an MD-PhD student at Harvard Medical School. His current research investigates the eco-epidemiological link between deforestation and vector-borne disease. Tejas is excited to integrate data sources ranging from geospatial satellite data to clinical data in ways that can inform global public health and international security.
Prior to starting his physician-scientist training, Tejas graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University in 2022 with an M.S. in Epidemiology and Clinical Research, B.A. in Political Science, and B.S. in Biology, with honors and distinction. He is originally from Macon, Georgia. In his free time, enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, table tennis, hiking, and photography.
