“Health Equity: Our Aspirational True North in Cardiovascular Medicine”
Named in honor of Harvard Chan School alumnus Donald R. Hopkins, MD, MPH ’70, the annual Donald Hopkins Lecture highlights the research and accomplishments of scholars and public health leaders nationally and internationally.
Speaker
Clyde W. Yancy, MD, MSc, is the Vice Dean for Diversity and Inclusion; Chief of Cardiology, Department of Medicine; and Magerstadt Professor at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. In this year’s Hopkins Lecture, Dr. Yancy will share his insights on establishing an operational definition of health equity; scoping the human cost of health inequities and scaling the expense; charting a path forward; accomplishing change after the SCOTUS decision; and transitioning from Equity to Ethics.
